Would you like to feel Love on Demand? In today´s episode, I am going to share with you my experience with opening my heart and learning to feel love from the inside whenever I want to. And you can too. Stay tuned.

Who does not want to feel good? I think everyone rather wants to feel emotions like love, joy, happiness and gratitude. Instead of emotions like shame, anger, guilt or frustration. But how come we don´t feel more of the good feelings and less of the bad feelings. How can we start feeling more of the high vibrating emotions throughout our day? That’s what we are going to discover in today´s episode.
“If you want more love in your life, start feeling love inside of you first.”
“You cannot truly love another until you know how to love yourself.”
“Happiness isn’t about getting what you want all the time. It’s about loving what you have and being grateful for it.”
These are all statements that I understood with my mind but never really understood with my heart. And the reason is that I looked outside of myself to create emotions like joy and happiness.
What do I mean by looking outside? It means to create these emotions through interacting with people, and having things or experiences in this physical world. Don’t get me wrong I still get good emotions from interacting with people I love, from certain experiences, but it was never very sustainable for me. The feelings were rather short-lived and would not be able to make me feel good for a longer period. I know that something was missing. That there was something I was not getting yet.
I accepted that these statements of feeling love inside and loving yourself first are true, but I still did not know how to do it. Just because a statement tells you to feel love inside of you does not mean that you know how, right?
I am fortunate enough to have had my breakthrough in my first Dispenza retreat in December. That’s when I so to say broke my heart wide open for the first time. And since then I have been practising each day to increase the love and gratitude I am feeling inside me. I practise throughout my meditations and then bring it more and more into my daily life. It is clear to me that I am still at the beginning of my exploration but the feelings that I feel now are so intense that I want to tell you how you can get there, too
I want you to have your breakthrough and start feeling loving feelings inside of you. For you to realize that you don’t need to wait for something outside of you to give you these positive emotions. I can tell you it will never be the real deal anyway. It’s on another level, the love that you can feel inside of you without any outside influence. That’s what we are meant to be feeling all along, we have just forgotten how to do it. So let’s remember together.
First of all, if you decided to give this a try, see it as an experiment. Keep trying to get there in many different ways, the importance is not giving up. No one is excluded from being able to get there. It´s all inside of us, we just have to remember how to access it.
Keep trying and one day it will happen – maybe even when you least expect it. And there is no right or wrong way of doing it. Everyone finds their way there – again the importance is on keep trying. Keep showing up, you’re moments of practice will add up and eventually, you’ll have that big moment.
My practice of getting there was during a meditation. It was one of the walking meditations that we did on the retreat. I can highly recommend any of the walking meditations from Dr Joe Dispenza, they bring another level of meditation into your life. I find them immensely powerful – especially in connecting with positive emotions (Check out his latest book on more information on meditation and positive emotions: Becoming Supernatural).
There are of course other practises that you can try that will get you there, too. I will focus on meditation as it worked for me and so many others that I know of.
You can use your meditation practice on focussing on feelings of love or you use a specific meditation that guides you in this process. You can use one of my meditations, called “Connect with your Self Love Energy” or search for something similar through Google or YouTube.
Emotions like love, joy, freedom and gratitude originate from the heart. You want to focus on your heart space or the heart chakra. that’s the energy centre that is located in your chest. In your meditation put all your attention on your heart, that way you give it a lot of energy and bring it more to life.
When you start focusing on bringing up let’s say the emotion of love, focus on feeling the love. How does it feel inside of your body and your heart when you have felt love before? Try to remember and repeat it now consciously. You can use your mind to think of Love, but the feeling will originate inside of your heart. And just stick with this practice until you feel something new, something unexpected and let it happen. Just go with it. It will grow over time and like I said one day your heart will crack open and you will feel so much love.
At the beginning of my practice, the intensity of love was so new to me that it made me cry. And that’s good. Don’t shy away from it – these are happy tears. I would be sobbing so badly but it was the best cry in the world. Now that I am a couple of months into my practice I have variations of feeling love and gratitude.
I still get overwhelmed by the feeling of love and start crying, just had this a couple of days ago in one of our virtual healing sessions. Now when I am in deep meditation and feel love or gratitude it’s still powerful and amazing but different, because I slowed down my body so it does not need to react. I can hold that energy of love without it making me cry. And what I can tell you is that it gets stronger and stronger. I meditate once or twice per day and every week I get to another level of feelings of love and I know that there is so much more to come.
Please be patient with yourself. I still have meditations when I don’t get there. That is part of the practice. No meditation is the same but every meditation counts as part of the journey. It all adds up to something bigger that is just around the corner for you to discover.
After practising for 2 months now, I can bring up these emotions of love and gratitude on demand. And I keep doing it throughout my day when I remember – and why would I not? Who does not want to feel the emotion of love throughout your day?
This is like a built-in medicine for your body, bringing up positive emotions on demand. Love and Gratitude are high vibrating emotions and if you feel more of them, your body regulates this higher vibration and starts to create powerful chemicals, and new connections in your brain and all of that counts to you feeling better and being healthier. You can heal yourself by feeling all this loving energy. (Episode 11)
In the end, we all want to feel good. When you ask people what they want and you ask them the question of why in the end they all want to feel love, joy, happiness, wholeness, and freedom. The feeling that I always was looking for in my life was wholeness/oneness.
Everything I did, striving for something better, was to feel whole. But I was not aware of it until the retreat in December when I realized that is the feeling of wholeness that I was missing in my life. So that’s what I am working on now, and it’s ongoing training – I am getting pretty good at feeling love and gratitude on demand in my everyday life not just in the meditations.
For me, the feeling of wholeness is still a work in progress. I have seen glimpses of it in my meditations and I will keep working on it until I get there. I know I am on my way.
I want to share with you 2 tips that helped me get to open my heart in the first place. These are really good to use when you find it difficult to bring up a positive feeling or the feeling of love:
The first tip is to think about your future self, the self that you want to become. When I covered manifestation recently on the podcast, I said that you want to feel as if it already happened.
You bring up the positive emotion without something actually having happened yet. But it helps you to feel the emotion of joy, happiness, love or gratitude if you imagine yourself having become your future self, and manifested what you want to manifest. Put yourself into your future self’s shoes and see how this future self feels now that it all has become true. This will help you to bring up a positive emotion that you can then keep expanding.
The other tip is to use thinking about a person or pet that you already love deeply. Briefly think about that person or pet, bring up their picture and see if it starts bringing up the feeling of love inside of your heart. this is like jump-starting a car, you are just jump-starting your heart to connect with the love inside of you and once it works, you can just focus on keeping this feeling in your heart and let it grow.
Before I close this episode I want to share with you a great message I came across the other week. It was a description from Michael B. Beckwith about the 3 levels of gratitude:
The first level of feeling gratitude is when you feel grateful for something or someone in your life.
The second level you feel gratitude is when you can feel grateful for the challenges in your life.
The third level of feeling gratitude is when you just feel grateful without any reason.
What I have described to you in this episode is the third level of bringing up love and gratitude. That is when you can feel grateful or feel love on-demand and throughout your day without having a reason.
